There are thousands of faiths, religions but only one God

Hungarian version: Ezernyi hitrendszer, vallás van, de csak egy Isten. Az ego ellenség? Vagy egy hasznos eszköz? Csak egyszerűen találja meg önmagát

Is ego the enemy? No, just a tool…

The ego is a permanent resident in our head, to whom you casually refer as me or I (ahankara in sanskrit). It can born through our persona, our mind and our being contains the ego, but the ego doesn’t contain your being. The ego is just like something that you are wearing. Something that covers your Self (true nature). Who are you, really under the costume? Your mind? Your body? Do you have a soul, a center? Nobody can talk face to face with an ego because, let’s face it, the ego doesn’t have a face, so the ego doesn’t really exist. It only thinks that it does – you just simply find yourself, ego is the enemy

Under different conditions, our ego would be totally different. The ego is a social consequence, a role… A survival strategy. It is an instinct. Why should that ego-phantom listen to me, when after all I just want to get rid of it? What’s the big fuss about a mere phantom-self? And who is discussing the ego here, another ego? How can one ego objectively discuss the nature of another ego? Just another tour inside our skulls… I am not here to criticize or analyze various ego theories, the many schools of thought on the subject, but here we will talk about the ego as a block, separating you from existence, life.

Dr. William Reich came to the conclusion that the whole world is covered with layers of organic energy, which he called ’orgone energy’, and he said: human neurosis is the result of mind-created blocks, preventing the human organism from participating in a free flow. So, the block (the ego) creates sickness, neurosis… You as a persona do not exist, only your being is real. What I am telling you is that we can only experience ourself existentially. The persona is a character in a play. It is a theatre.

Whoever that persona is, it doesn’t matter, but the source is very important, it is the Self… We shouldn’t think about who we are, we should simply are… We don’t have to define ours roles because our nature is apparent. When the role-playing stops for example in deep meditation that is when we are the closest to God, the closest to ourselves, because the ego (see curtain) is not there. Ego can’t meet God, just God can meet God. We commonly think in psychology that people who have split personalities are sick, but an enlightened being would tell you that to have a personality, an ego, is to be sick.

You just simply find yourself

The ego is a jail, God is freedom. When you find yourself, maybe you don’t need any religion. To cross a river you need a boat, but you don’t need it after you’ve crossed, haven’t you? You might as well leave it there and walk free of the burden… When we say we belong to the only true religion, then of course we are also saying that all the others are false. But, no one any proof, as I know. God does not provide certificates of authenticity and if we find God within, then we have proof, otherwise we only have theories. The most important questions: do you think that the Cosmos came about by accident?

Do you want to find your ‘maker’, or rather your center, your own essence (whatever you call it)? Chandra Wickramasinghe prof. said the chances that life just evolved like a: ’a tornado sweeping through a junk-yard might assemble a Boeing 747 from the materials therein.’ So, you must start your very own adventure, and must not depend on any organized trips. Churches generally give you comfort, but Buddha, Jesus will put a sword in your hand. ’Do not think that I have come to bring peace on earth: I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law, and a man’s foes will be those of his own household.’ (Matthew 10:34)

An experience is always personal, Jesus knew this. So, just go inside and watch what is happening, become a watcher. Then each experience will teach you something about yourself, giving you something new. You have everything you need for the experiment.
